How to View All Store Locations on the Map

How do I view all store locations on the map when they’re not immediately visible?

Answer

RP ProMap uses an intelligent marker clustering system to organize store locations on the map. When many locations are close together, the app groups them into clusters to improve performance and keep the map easier to read.

As you zoom in, clusters automatically separate into individual store markers.

Understanding Cluster Colors

The default cluster colors indicate how many store locations are grouped together:

  • 🟒 Green Marker β€” Your current location

  • πŸ”΅ Blue Cluster β€” Small group of nearby stores (2–9 locations)

  • 🟑 Yellow Cluster β€” Medium group of stores (10–99 locations)

  • πŸ”΄ Red Cluster β€” Large group of stores (100+ locations)

For example, a red cluster displaying 794 means there are 794 locations grouped in that area of the map.

How to View Individual Store Locations

To see individual locations:

  1. Use your mouse wheel or map controls to zoom in

  2. Clusters will begin separating into smaller groups

  3. Continue zooming until individual store markers appear

  4. You can also use the store search feature to quickly find a specific location

Tip

Searching by store name or address is the fastest way to locate a specific dealer, distributor, or storefront.

Customizing Cluster Markers in RP ProMap

RP ProMap allows you to fully customize how map clusters appear.

You can configure:

  • Cluster marker images

  • Cluster text colors

Branding Suggestions

Many merchants customize clusters to match their brand colors:

  • Purple clusters for premium brands

  • Black and white minimalist styles

  • Gradient markers

  • Different colors for each cluster size

This allows your store locator experience to feel fully integrated with your website branding.

Additional Notes

  • Cluster settings only affect grouped markers

  • Individual store markers remain separate

  • Changes may require refreshing the storefront cache

  • Very large datasets may still group markers at wider zoom levels for performance
