Overview

This guide walks you through how to export your store data from Faire and import it into RP Promap for mapping, segmentation, and analytics.

By the end of this guide, you will:

  • Export retailer/store data from Faire

  • Prepare the file for RP Promap compatibility

  • Import the data into RP Promap successfully


Part 1: Export Stores from Faire

Step 1: Log into Faire

Step 2: Navigate to Customers / Retailers

  • From the dashboard, go to:
    Orders → Customers (or Retailers, depending on UI version)

Step 3: Export Data

  • Look for an Export or Download CSV button

  • Select export type:

    • All customers

    • Or filtered list (optional)

  • Download the file (usually .csv format)


Part 2: Prepare Data for RP Promap

RP Promap requires clean, structured location data.

Required Fields

Ensure your CSV includes:

  • Store Name

  • Address Line 1

  • City

  • State/Province

  • Postal Code

  • Country

Recommended Fields

  • Email

  • Phone

  • Order Volume / Revenue

  • Tags or Categories

Step 4: Clean the Data

Open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets and:

  • Remove empty rows

  • Ensure addresses are complete

  • Standardize country names (e.g., "United States" not "USA")

  • Check for duplicates

Step 5: Rename Columns (if needed)

Match RP Promap expected headers:

RP Promap Field

Company Name

name

Address

address

City

city

State

state

Zip

postal_code

Country

country

Save the cleaned file as:

  • CSV (UTF-8 encoding preferred)


Part 3: Import into RP Promap

Step 6: Open RP Promap

  • Navigate to your RP Promap dashboard

Step 7: Go to Import Tool

  • Select:
    Store Locations → Import (button)

Step 8: Upload File

  • Click Upload CSV

  • Select your cleaned file

Step 9: Map Fields

  • Match your CSV columns to RP Promap fields

Example:

  • name → Store Name

  • address → Address Line

  • city → City

  • state → State

  • postal_code → Zip

  • country → Country

Step 10: Validate Data

  • Review preview

  • Fix any flagged errors:

    • Missing addresses

    • Invalid locations

Step 11: Import

  • Click Import

  • Wait for processing to complete


Part 4: Verify Import

After import:

  • Open the map view

  • Confirm stores appear correctly

  • Spot-check locations


Tips & Best Practices

  • Use full addresses for best geocoding accuracy

  • Avoid abbreviations in country names

  • Keep consistent formatting across rows

  • Import smaller batches first to test


Troubleshooting

Stores Not Appearing

  • Check for missing address fields

  • Verify country/state formatting

Incorrect Map Locations

  • Ensure postal codes are correct

  • Avoid incomplete addresses

Upload Errors

  • Confirm file is CSV

  • Remove special characters
