Translation Tab - How to Change text labels for different languages

Here is a simple walk thru on how our app allows you to display in your chosen language

Updated over 2 weeks ago

To change text labels for different languages in the Store Locator app, you can easily do this through the Translation Tab found within the Settings section of the app. This feature is designed to give you full control over the text displayed on the frontend, allowing you to modify any label and translate it into the language of your choice.

Note: Currently our apps are designed to allow for one language at a time.

if you want to allow the app to work on multiple sites / languages we recommend the use of a third party translation app. Most clients who offer the site in multiple languages use an app for the translation. As a result our current offering allows you to modify the base language of the app so if you offer your site in Italian (for example) you can do that using the app , However if you wanted Italian, Spanish and English we would recommend installing an additional app. If you would like a recommendation for a translate app please reach out to support.

    Translations Tab

Find the label you want to change

  • Use the Search feature in your browser to find the element you want to update (e.g., Search, Buttons, Errors) to quickly locate a label.

Edit the translation

  • In the Translation column, click into the field and type your new wording.

  • Keep it short and action-oriented (e.g., “Get Directions” instead of “Click here to get directions”). Example here - Directions --> direzioni (Italian example) note you can preview you changes as you make them.

Save your changes

  • Click Save (or Save & Publish, if shown) to apply changes to the selected language.

Preview on your storefront

  • Visit a page with the ProMap widget to confirm the new labels appear as expected.

Quick Tips

  • Test on mobile to ensure long labels don’t wrap awkwardly.

  • If a change doesn’t appear, hard-refresh or clear cache.

  • Keep button text concise; short verbs tend to convert better.

By following these steps, you can fully customize the frontend text to support multiple languages, enhancing the user experience for customers from different regions. This flexibility ensures that your Store Locator app can cater to a diverse audience with accurate and localized text labels.
