Update RP ProMap Legacy Scripts to the Rose Perl CDN

If RP ProMap was installed on an older Shopify theme, the theme may still load legacy scripts from the former Secomapp CDN and an older version of Handlebars. Update these references so the legacy locator loads the supported Rose Perl files.

Before you begin: Duplicate your live theme or download a backup before editing theme code. If you are not comfortable editing Liquid files, contact Rose Perl Support for assistance.

The legacy RP ProMap code is normally located in one of these files:

Open the file used by your theme and replace these two older script tags:

&lt;script src="//cdn.roseperl.com/storelocator-prod/assets/js/infobubble.min.js" async=""&gt;&lt;/script&gt; &lt;script src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/handlebars@4.7.9/dist/handlebars.min.js" async=""&gt;&lt;/script&gt;

From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.

Find the theme where RP ProMap is installed.

Use the file search to locate either <code>Templates/page.sca-storelocator.liquid</code> or <code>Sections/sca-storelocator.liquid</code>.

Open the file, then search within it for either <code>cdn.secomapp.com</code> or <code>handlebars.js</code>.

Locate the two old script tags shown above. They are commonly near the bottom of the locator section.

Replace both old tags with the two updated tags.

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
2. Find the theme where RP ProMap is installed.
3. Select … → Edit code.
4. Use the file search to locate either <code>Templates/page.sca-storelocator.liquid</code> or <code>Sections/sca-storelocator.liquid</code>.
5. Open the file, then search within it for either <code>cdn.secomapp.com</code> or <code>handlebars.js</code>.
6. Locate the two old script tags shown above. They are commonly near the bottom of the locator section.
7. Replace both old tags with the two updated tags.
8. Click Save.

The updated script references in the legacy RP ProMap section file.

Important: replace only the script references

Searching for <code>secomapp</code> may return other matches, including CSS files, snippets, or older theme integration code. Do not delete or change those additional references as part of this update unless Rose Perl Support specifically instructs you to do so.

Open the storefront in a new private or incognito browser window.

Confirm that the map and location list load.

Open a map marker and confirm that its information window displays correctly.

Test search, filters, and location details if your locator uses them.

If you edited a duplicate theme, preview and test it before publishing.

1. Open the storefront in a new private or incognito browser window.
2. Visit the page containing RP ProMap.
3. Confirm that the map and location list load.
4. Open a map marker and confirm that its information window displays correctly.
5. Test search, filters, and location details if your locator uses them.
6. If you edited a duplicate theme, preview and test it before publishing.

Your browser or Shopify CDN may briefly retain cached files. If the old version still appears, perform a hard refresh and test again in a private window.

If RP ProMap does not load after the update:

Confirm that both replacement tags were copied completely and were not placed inside another <code>&lt;script&gt;</code> block.

Check that there is only one active copy of each script reference in the locator section.

Restore the backup copy if the problem began immediately after editing.

Contact Rose Perl Support and include your Shopify store URL, theme name, and a screenshot of the browser console.

- Check that there is only one active copy of each script reference in the locator section.
- Restore the backup copy if the problem began immediately after editing.
