Install Rose Perl Apps on a Shopify Development Store


Overview

This guide walks you through creating a Shopify development store and installing Rose Perl apps for testing or setup.

Supported Apps

  • RP ProMap — Store locator & map management

  • RP ProPickup — Pickup point & delivery selection

  • RP ProFind — Product/store discovery tools


Step 1 — Create a Development Store

Shopify now requires all development stores to be created from the Developer Dashboard.

  1. Select your organization (for Example we are: Rose Perl Technology LLC you would use your organization).

  2. Click Stores.

  3. Click Create store.

  4. Choose Development store.

  5. Select “Create a store to test and build.”

  6. Enter your store details and click Create.


Step 2 — Install on Development Store

  1. Click Test on development store.

  2. Select the dev store you created.

  3. Click Install app.

  4. Select one of the following:

    • RP ProMap

    • RP ProPickup

    • RP ProFind


Step 3 — Approve Installation

  1. Shopify will redirect you to the install screen.

  2. Click Install.

  3. Review and Approve the subscription charge.

Note:
Development stores are not billed. Shopify displays this as a test charge only.


Step 4 — Confirm Installation

  • You will be redirected to the app dashboard.

  • The app is now successfully installed.


Next Steps — Basic Setup

After installation, depending on the app:

RP ProMap

  • Add or import store locations

  • Configure Google Maps API key

  • Customize store locator display

RP ProPickup

  • Configure pickup locations

  • Set delivery/pickup rules

  • Test checkout integration

RP ProFind

  • Configure search or discovery settings

  • Optimize filters and results display

  • Test storefront experience


Troubleshooting Tips

  • Ensure you are logged into the correct Shopify organization

  • If the store does not appear, refresh the dashboard or re-open the app

  • Verify your dev store was created as “test and build”, not for transfer
