Clear your browser cache to see published updates
Added a store, changed an address, updated opening hours, or edited other location details, but still see the old information on your storefront? Refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache can help you see the latest published version.
How Auto Publish works
When Auto Publish is enabled, saved changes in RP Apps are published in real time. This includes new stores and updates to existing location information.
Your browser may still display an older copy of the storefront’s content or files. An already-open locator page may also need to reload to retrieve the latest information. Publishing an update does not mean every open browser tab immediately redraws the map.
Remember: Save your changes first. If Auto Publish is off, publish them manually before checking your storefront. Clearing your browser cache does not publish unsaved or unpublished changes.
Start on the storefront
Open the public store locator page on your website—the page your customers use.
Reload the page. In Chrome, try a refresh that bypasses cached content: Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows or Command + Shift + R on Mac.
Search for the store or location you updated. Clear any tag, distance, or search filters that might hide it.
If you still see the old information, follow the cache-clearing steps below for your browser.
These steps apply to the browser displaying your storefront, even if you manage RP ProMap in a different browser.
Google Chrome
With Chrome open, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete on Windows or Command + Shift + Delete on Mac. You can also open the three-dot menu and select Delete browsing data.
Set the time range to All time.
Select Cached images and files. Leave cookies, browsing history, and other data unchecked if you want to keep them.
Click Delete data (or Clear data, depending on your version).
Return to your public locator page, reload it, and check your updates.
Microsoft Edge
Open Settings and more (three dots) → Settings → Privacy, search, and services.
Under Clear browsing data, choose Choose what to clear beside Clear browsing data now.
Choose All time and select only Cached images and files to preserve cookies, history, and passwords.
Click Clear now, then reload your public locator page.
Windows shortcut: Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete to open the clearing dialog.
Mozilla Firefox
Open the three-line menu and select Settings.
Select Privacy & Security.
Find Cookies and Site Data or Browsing data, then click Clear Data or Clear browsing data.
If a time selector appears, choose Everything. Select only Temporary cached files and pages (called Cached Web Content in some versions).
Click Clear, then reload your public locator page.
Safari on Mac
Clear cached files
Open Safari → Settings → Advanced.
Enable Show features for web developers (called Show Develop menu in menu bar in older versions).
In the top menu bar, choose Develop → Empty Caches.
Return to your public locator page and reload it.
If you need to remove the storefront’s website data
Go to Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data. Find your storefront domain, select it, and click Remove, then Done. Reopen the locator page.
Note: Removing website data also removes cookies and may sign you out or reset website preferences. Use the storefront-specific option before choosing Remove All.
Still seeing old information?
Confirm that your changes were saved and Auto Publish is enabled, or that you published manually.
Check the correct public storefront and locator page.
Try a new private/incognito window, another browser, or another device. This helps identify whether the issue is specific to your current browser.
If the update is missing across browsers and devices, contact support so we can check publishing and the storefront setup.
Clearing your cache affects your browser only. It does not clear your customers’ browsers or change the information saved in RP ProMap. You do not need to routinely clear the cache after every update; use these steps when the storefront continues to show an older version.
