Fix a Missing, Flashing, or Disappearing Delivery-Date Widget

Use this guide when the RP Local Delivery Date widget is missing, appears briefly and vanishes, or cannot be clicked.

Before you begin

Make sure you are checking the currently published Shopify theme. Test in a private or incognito browser window so an older cached version does not affect the result.

1. Confirm the app is enabled

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.

  2. Find the published theme and select Customize.

  3. Open App embeds.

  4. Enable RP Local Delivery Date and save.

  5. If your theme uses an app block in the cart, confirm that the block is present and enabled.

2. Test both cart experiences

  1. Add a product to the cart.

  2. Check the cart drawer or popup, if your theme uses one.

  3. Open the full cart page and check again.

  4. Repeat on desktop and mobile.

If the widget works on the full cart page but not the drawer, the drawer is likely using a custom or dynamically loaded cart layout.

3. Look for a theme or app conflict

  • Temporarily preview a clean duplicate theme when available.

  • Check whether a cart, upsell, bundle, subscription, or sticky-cart app was installed or changed recently.

  • If the widget flashes before disappearing, record the screen; the cart may be refreshing after the widget loads.

  • If the page becomes gray or the widget cannot be clicked, a cart overlay may be covering it.

Do not paste old app snippets into your live theme. Legacy installation code may not match the current app. Ask support to review any non-standard cart placement.

How to confirm the fix

Select a valid delivery or pickup date, proceed through the normal cart button, and confirm that the selection appears on a test order. Repeat on mobile.
