Align Delivery and Pickup With Shopify Checkout
Use this guide when the app selection and Shopify checkout appear to show different delivery or pickup information.
Why two choices can appear
RP Local Delivery Date collects the customer's requested method, date, time, and location. Shopify separately controls the shipping, local delivery, and pickup options displayed in checkout. These settings must be aligned.
Review the app
Confirm which delivery and pickup methods are enabled.
Review the available days, time slots, locations, and explanatory text.
Test one delivery selection and one pickup selection.
Review Shopify
Open Shopify's shipping and delivery settings.
Review shipping zones, local delivery, and pickup locations.
Disable any method customers should not be able to select.
Confirm that location names and customer instructions are clear.
Compare the final order
On a test order, compare the selection recorded by RP Local Delivery Date with Shopify's fulfillment method and shipping information. A different heading in checkout may be a Shopify presentation issue rather than incorrect app data.
Reduce customer confusion
Offer the same fulfillment methods in both systems.
Use clear widget text such as “Choose your requested delivery date” or “Choose your pickup date,” where supported.
Avoid offering pickup in one system and delivery-only in the other.
Test both flows from cart to confirmation.
The app does not fully replace Shopify's native checkout fulfillment interface. Checkout customization also depends on Shopify's platform and the store's plan.
Still need help?
