This article helps you decide how to configure RP Local Delivery Date before you begin setup.
The checklist below is the maintained planning aid. A separate planning diagram
is intentionally not included because feature and plan requirements can change.
What this helps you do
Choose whether your store should offer local delivery, local pickup, or both, and decide which app features you need first.
Prerequisites
A Shopify store with permission to install apps
A clear list of your store locations
Your delivery rules, if known
Your pickup hours, if known
Instructions
List the locations where customers can collect or receive orders.
Decide whether each location should offer:
local delivery
local pickup
both options
Decide how you want to limit local delivery:
by radius from a location
by postal or ZIP codes
by drawing an area on a map
Decide whether customers should choose:
only a date
a date and a time
a date and a time slot
Decide whether you need:
delivery fees
blackout dates
cutoff times
lead times
product restrictions by location
Decide whether you want one simple location first or your full multi-location setup from day one.
Open the app only after you have these decisions written down. This will make setup faster and reduce live-store mistakes.
Expected result
You have a clear plan for your first app setup and know which features you need to configure first.
Troubleshooting notes
If you are unsure whether to use radius, postal codes, or a map area, start with the method that matches how your team already defines delivery zones.
If your fees depend on shipping rules in Shopify, review your Shopify plan and carrier-rate availability before building delivery rates in the app.
Important warnings or limitations
Warning: Do not turn on delivery or pickup for a live store until you have tested your settings on both desktop and mobile.
Some features depend on your active app plan or Shopify checkout capabilities. Review Settings → Billing and confirm current requirements with support before promising a plan-dependent workflow.
If your theme is heavily customized or older, theme placement may need extra review.
