Expected result

Customers can see the delivery or pickup picker in the cart area of your storefront.

Troubleshooting notes

  • If you do not see the app embed, confirm you opened the intended theme and contact support to check compatibility.

  • If your theme uses a cart drawer, test the cart drawer and not only the cart page.

  • If the picker appears in the theme editor preview but not on the live storefront, save the theme and confirm you edited the correct theme.

  • If the picker appears twice, or remains visible when the app embed is off,
stop editing the theme and ask support to check for an older installation.

Older and customized themes

The supported storefront installation is RPDelivery Date App Embed. The app
does not provide a movable cart app block, and merchants should not add its
scripts, snippets, or asset references directly to theme files.

A legacy installation means an older setup placed app code or a script
loader directly into the theme. It is not required for a new installation and
should not be copied into a new or replacement theme.

Possible signs of an older installation include:

  • the picker appears when RPDelivery Date App Embed is disabled

  • two pickers or two sets of controls appear

  • the picker exists in one older theme but not in a clean duplicate or new theme

  • a theme-code search finds an old delivery-date snippet or manually added
    script include

  • the problem began after copying theme files from a previous store or theme

Do not delete suspected legacy code yourself. A similarly named snippet or
script might contain store-specific customization. Send the theme name and
symptoms to RP support for review.

Support-led migration

Support or the store's qualified theme developer should:

  1. Duplicate the theme and keep the unchanged duplicate as the rollback copy.

  2. Record the suspected legacy snippets, script includes, assets, and insertion
    points before changing them.

  3. Enable RPDelivery Date App Embed in the duplicate theme and save.

  4. Test the cart page and cart drawer on desktop and mobile with the legacy code
    still recorded.

  5. Remove only code confirmed to belong to the older RP Delivery Date
    installation.

  6. Retest delivery, pickup, dates, time slots, areas, cart changes, fees, and
    checkout from the duplicate theme.

  7. Publish only after the duplicate theme passes testing. Restore the unchanged
duplicate if the migration causes a storefront problem.

Theme duplication, migration, or app reinstallation does not prove that saved
locations and schedules are correct. Review the app configuration and place a
test order before publishing.

Important warnings or limitations

Warning: Theme changes affect your storefront. Preview and test before publishing changes to a live theme.

  • The current storefront integration is a theme app embed, not a movable app block.

  • Do not paste app scripts into theme files or copy integration code from an
    older theme.

  • RP support can identify the app's integration points, but changes to unrelated
custom theme code remain the responsibility of the store's theme developer.

  • If your theme is old or heavily customized, contact support to check compatibility with the current app embed before publishing.
