This article helps you add your first location and enable delivery, pickup, or

This article helps you add your first location and enable delivery, pickup, or both.

What this helps you do

Create a working location that customers can use for local delivery or pickup.

Prerequisites

  • The app is installed

  • You know the address and business hours for the location

  • You know whether this location offers delivery, pickup, or both

Instructions

  1. In Shopify admin → Apps → RP Local Delivery Date, open the app.

  2. Go to Locations.

  3. Select Add location in the empty state. If locations already exist, the
page action is labeled Add Location.

  4. If the app offers Shopify locations, select the locations you want to copy or
    choose Create from scratch.

  5. On Please name the location, enter the customer-facing location name and
    select Next.

  6. Enter the required Address, City, Zip code, and Country. Select
a State where the selected country provides one, then select Next.

  7. On Opening hours, enable the applicable days and enter their hours. Select
Next to create the location. When creating from scratch, you can select
Skip to create it with all opening days disabled and add hours later.

  8. Wait for the Location created confirmation and for the Locations list to
    reload.

  9. Select the new location name. The location page shows separate Pickup and
Delivery cards, each with an Enabled or Disabled badge.

  10. Select Manage under Delivery or Pickup, enable the method, and
configure its schedule and rules. Repeat for the other method if the
    location offers both.

  11. Save each method profile, return to Locations, and confirm the expected
method badges and Profile IDs appear beside the new location.

The Locations table shows the location record separately from its Delivery and
Pickup profiles:

  • Location ID identifies the address/location record.

  • Profile ID identifies the method-specific configuration. A location can
have one Delivery profile and one Pickup profile, so these numbers are not
expected to match the Location ID.

  • A colored method badge indicates that method is enabled. A gray badge means
the profile exists but is currently disabled.

Use the Location ID when a workflow asks for a location. Use the ID aligned
with the Delivery or Pickup badge when a workflow asks for a profile.

Expected result

You have one saved location in the app, ready for delivery, pickup, or both.

Troubleshooting notes

  • If the location does not appear on the storefront, confirm that the theme integration is complete.

  • If a delivery or pickup option does not appear inside the location, confirm that the main toggle for that service is enabled.

  • If your changes do not appear on the storefront, refresh the storefront cart and confirm the theme app embed is enabled.

  • If the wizard will not advance, complete the required location name, address,
city, ZIP/postal code, and country fields shown in the current step.

  • If you selected Skip for opening hours, add valid location and method hours
before expecting the location to be available to customers.

  • If an order is assigned to the wrong schedule, compare its Profile ID with
the profile shown beside the intended method in Locations.

Important warnings or limitations

Warning: If your store is live, incomplete location settings can confuse customers or hide delivery choices unexpectedly.

  • Creating the location record does not by itself enable Delivery or Pickup.
Open Manage for every method you intend to offer and save its profile.

  • Save after each major change.

  • Test the location in the storefront before adding more locations.
